Hey guys,
just wanted to write a really quick post on this fine Sunday evening. I made it to my parent’s house in the Vancouver area safe and sound. I got here Friday afternoon, after a morning of appointments and travel. It actually takes me about 5 1/2 hours to get here. So yesterday I took it easy. Found a way to sleep in, I lounged in my PJ’s all day, played with the new puppy and made some more yummy Cookie Dough Balls.
Although after a day of being here, my hands already look like they’ve been through the ringer…puppy bites everywhere. Man does Bonnie have some razor sharp teeth. Bonnie and I had a rough 24 hours… she had to learn who was going to be boss… and it was I who won. Now she is much calmer and isn’t trying to bite my hands off as much anymore. I like the Bonnie a lot better. Believe me when I say this is one feisty little pup..lots of attitude. But cute, none the less.
Today was a beautiful day. Too bad it was spent mostly at the rec center taking my Recertification Standard First-Aid course. This was the first of 3 that I will be taking while down in the mainland this week. Thanks to a really nice instructor and our class being able to cover the entire content fairly efficiently, we finished the course about an hour early. My next course is now slated for Thursday…and this is the big one..my NLS precert.
So that’s about it. Tonight we had some lamb and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner. It was really good, except I think we went a little bit overboard on the garlic in the potatoes. My mom spiked the meat with lots of garlic too..yummy.
Off I go to watch a movie to end my day…tomorrow I’ll go for a jog…resume my training for the 8km event…May 1st is fast approaching…eek.
Have a wonderful Monday everyone.
Cheers,
Bea
